Thouxanbanfauni Revels in Success on “American Muscle”
Thoxanbanfauni has become a legend of the Atlanta underground scene. The influential trap artist, known for his collaborations with UnotheActivist and Playboi Carti, has amassed somewhat of a large cult-fanbase by consistently releasing heat through Soundcloud. On his newest track “American Muscle,” Fauni celebrates this success.
“American Muscle” features Fauni flaunting his blessings, namely his classic American muscle car (“93 Chevy, red Chevelle”). The track is littered with clever braggadocious car references, while Fauni also adopts a more serious tone at moments, such as the first verse where he questions his competitor’s authenticity (“You sell out, then you fake, you stay broke, then you real”).
The track’s simple yet effective instrumental comes from producer Scott Slatt. Here, Slatt crafted an ambient beat with distorted 808s, which Fauni approaches with a bold and aggressive flow.
