Juice Wrld – “Righteous”
Although it may seem like much longer, Chicago’s Juice WRLD died just 4 months ago, in a tragic overdose at 21 on December 8th of last year. Since his untimely death Juice’s team/family have yet to drop any official posthumous releases other than a feature on YNW Melly’s “Suicidal (remix)”.
Today Juice’s team took to Instagram to announce the release of his first official posthumous single, “Righteous”. The Nick Mira produced track sets the usual mood for a Juice WRLD song. This track may invoke some eerie feelings for some fans as the lyrics feel like a premonition of the late rappers death. They accompanied the track with a video featuring old footage of him and animations done by Tristan Zammit.
This track definitely is one of Juice’s best and its truly unfortunate he didn’t get to see the release of “Righteous” and the upcoming album his team has said it is slated for later this year. Juice was definitely one of the most talented and promising young rappers making a name for himself. We can’t help but believe he’d be even bigger today if he were here. How are you guys feeling about the new posthumous Juice WRLD single? Where do you think it sits in his discography? Check out and the video and let us know.
