G4 Boyz Enlist Chief Keef for “Local Scammer” Remix
Beginning in 2019 and continuing in 2020, we have seen the UK/ Brooklyn drill sound slowly approach mainstream acceptance. One track helping fuel this wave is “Local Scammer” by Staten Island’s G4 Boyz, two brothers of Nigerian and Ghanaian descent. G4 Boyz is now helping keep this momentum going by releasing an official remix of the hit song, featuring G4 Choppa and Chief Keef.
The most exciting aspect of this track is Chief Keef’s first appearance on an UK drill beat. Given that Sosa was the most important artist for Chicago Drill, his appearance on the track, produced by South London’s FNR Beats, seems fitting.
The video, shot inside Keef’s Los Angeles Mansion, shows the four rappers partying with some women while flexing the spoils of their musical success (or scamming?) Check out the visual below.
