David Biga & Yalee Team Up On “Like I Know”
At age 19, Dayton, Ohio native David Biga released his first mixtape entitled, “Audio Visual Therapy”. After the loss of several close friend and while living out of his car for two years, he began his narrative by writing raps, birthing a new and organic Mid-West sound. This week, David releases a response video to the Dayton, Ohio shooting that happened in 2019, which left 9 dead & 17 injured titled “Like I know” in collaboration with fellow Dayton rapper Yalee!
“Like I Know” combines the sounds of upcoming emcee, David Biga, with the sounds of established HoodPop icon, Yalee. This upbeat track poses a simple question to listeners, “do you know, like I know?” The track explores the glorification of violence, systematic racism, and the pain artists are left with when the music stops.
